Mt. Wilson

Today I saw mountains! Amanda took me up to
Mt. Wilson
, which was a fun drive. Another hundred miles, most of these on a great squiggly road - we didn't even have a map, so it was the definitely of "motoring" like I was taught at the factory. We couldn't quite keep up with the motorcycles, but otherwise we had a lot of fun. You can't really see it in the picture, but there's snow on the mountains behind me - probably as close to snow as I'll ever get.

Adopted!

Well, it's been about 2 months since I was "born" at the Mini factory in Oxford, and there's been some cool stuff since then - the Panama Canal was fun - but yesterday I finally earned my stripes (literally), and got adopted. They put a big green bow on me at South Bay Mini and I waited and waited for my new owners to show up. They oohed and ahhed over me, then went off to do all the paperwork.

Apparently everything went well because they introduced me to my brother Coop (who got new windshield wipers while we were there) and took me home.

I already took my first trip to Disneyland - with a side trip to Knott's, so the people could have fried chicken for dinner. We had to drive home with the top up, though - the upper fifties are a little chilly for freeway driving.
